I’ve been using the Hologram Microcosm for about a year now. It’s been a very important creative tool in most of the ambient work I’ve produced over that time.
But it wasn’t my pedal, I was using it on a very generous long term loan from a friend.
It has now returned home to continue its important work and just before it did I made this video documenting my last day using the Microcosm in the studio to generate ideas for my music…
I’ve dabbled in YouTube content for a long time but this was my first attempt at a more complex video edit and it was a lot of fun, so I’m going to have a go at creating more content going forward.
I’m not 100% sure what forms that will take but I’m planning more videos exploring my studio equipment and process, some “slow tv” field recordings, perhaps some tutorials and all the spaces in-between.
If you use YouTube, check out my channel and let me know what types of music production and field recording videos you enjoy watching.
I've seen so much of the Micocosm from musicians I follow on YouTube and it is inspiring how diverse its results can be. Loved hearing some of your experimentations with it in this video. I really, really want one, but out of my price range for now!
